Mixed media and multi-disciplinary art made in St Louis.
Meet the Artist
Michele is an award winning, self-taught mixed media and multi-disciplinary artist. Although art has been a big part of her life since childhood, it wasn’t until the pandemic that she began creating art for exhibits and gallery showing.
For the past 15 years, Michele has spent time learning and working with different artistic media. She uses a variety of traditional media, often in unique ways, such as boiling paint directly on the canvas. Additionally, she loves to recycle and reuse items in her art. You can often find recycled book pages, textiles, or tiny unexpected items within her work.
Michele’s inspiration comes from all aspects of life. Her work is a vibrant, playful portrayal of life, mixed with layers of unexpected texture and emotion. Her art is an effort to create a little bit of joy in a not always pleasant world.
“Art and kindness - for me that’s what life is all about,” explained Michele.
Michele believes in being a force for good. She’s passionate about Mental Health awareness, woman’s rights, and is a proud “boy mom” of two.
